JSW MG Motor India is all set to launch its new flagship SUV, the MG Majestor, in the Indian market on April 20, 2026. Positioned above the MG Gloster, the Majestor will enter the premium full-size SUV segment with a focus on luxury, performance, and advanced technology.
The company has already started accepting pre-bookings for the SUV, and customers opting for early reservations are expected to receive priority delivery. Official deliveries of the MG Majestor are likely to begin from May 2026, shortly after its launch.
In terms of pricing, the MG Majestor is expected to be priced between ₹39.50 lakh and ₹45 lakh (ex-showroom). This positions it competitively in the premium SUV category, where buyers demand a combination of power, comfort, and modern features.
Under the hood, the MG Majestor will be powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine. This engine is expected to deliver 215 PS of power and 478.5 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The SUV will be offered in both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and 4×4 drivetrain options, making it suitable for both city driving and off-road adventures.
On the features front, the Majestor is expected to offer a premium cabin experience with several advanced amenities. Key highlights include a 64-colour ambient lighting system, dual wireless chargers, and a 220V power outlet for added convenience. The SUV is also expected to feature a JBL 12-speaker premium audio system and dual 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and driver information, ensuring a modern and connected driving experience.
Safety and technology are also a major focus for MG with this new SUV. The Majestor will come equipped with Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), offering features like adaptive cruise control and lane assist. Additionally, it is expected to include multiple airbags and a 219mm ground clearance, enhancing both safety and capability on different terrains.
Adding to its credentials, the MG Majestor recently made headlines by achieving a Guinness World Record. The SUV demonstrated its strength by successfully towing a 40.6-tonne train, highlighting its impressive engineering and performance capabilities.
